Retire Customer Addresses

Unfortunately, with the system as standard, it is not possible to Retire Addresses for Customers. However, you are able to delete the address if there are no transactions tied to that address in Current.

Some bespoke customers may be unable to delete an address if there are transactions tied to that address at all.

If you need to remove an address from a customer you must delete it:

  1. Click Sales Ledger then click Customers.

  2. Scroll to or search for the Customer account which has the address you want to remove.

  3. Select the Addresses tab.

  4. Double click the Address line you wish to delete.

  5. Right click in the bottom half of the window that pops up and select Modify Record.

  6. Then right click again and select Delete Record.

  7. If you are unable to do this, you have a transaction tied to that Address in Current.

If there are no Transactions tied to that address in Current and you still cannot delete the address record, then your bespoke function set is preventing you from deleting Customer addresses if there are transactions tied to it in History.
