You may need to reset a password — for example, if it has been forgotten. Only the Supervisor logon can change passwords for other users. All users can change their own password.
Set or reset user passwords as the Supervisor
In the bottom right, right-click and select Users. A new box opens with a list of users.
Find and select the user in this list. Ensure it is the right user by comparing their User IDs.
Press the Ctrl+M keys to enter Modify mode.
In the Password column, use the drop-down and select Change Password.
Change the password by typing in a new password twice.
Click OK to commit the changes.
Reset your own password
Along the bar at the bottom, right-click and select Change Password. This will open a new box with three fields.
Enter your current password into the relevant field.
Enter your **new password** and confirm it.
Click OK and the password will be changed.
Reset a password for Safe Financials version 4.107 or lower
Click **Edit**.
Select **Close Application**.
The application will close but the magic screens will remain open.
Click **Options**.
Click **Settings**.
Click **User ID**.
Select the user from the list.
Double-click in the password box.
Type the new password, then press **Enter**.
Type the password again, then press **Enter** and click **OK** to save.
