Reset a user password

Passwords will need to be changed sometimes e.g. if a password is forgotten below are the steps on how to do this.

Only the Supervisor logon can access the passwords and change them for everybody. However, all users can change their own password.

To set or reset user passwords as the Supervisor

In the bottom right, right-click and select Users. A new box opens with a list of users.

  1. Find and select the user in this list. Ensure it is the right user by comparing their User ID's.

  2. Press the Ctrl+M keys to enter Modify mode.

  3. In the Password column, use the drop-down and select Change Password.

  4. Change the password for the user by typing in a new password twice.

  5. Click OK to commit the changes.

To reset your own password

  1. Along the bar at the bottom, right-click and select Change Password. This will open a new box with 3 fields.

  2. Enter your current password into the relevant field

  3. Enter your new password and confirm it

  4. Click OK and the password will be changed.

To reset password for Safe Financials Version 4.107 or lower

  1. On the top of the screen click on Edit

  2. Then select Close Application

  3. The Application will close but the magic screens will remain open

  4. Click on Options

  5. Click on Settings

  6. Then click on User ID

  7. Select the User from the list available

  8. Then double click in the password box

  9. Complete the new password then press enter

  10. Complete the password again then press enter and OK to save
