If you have recently upgraded to a Safe Financials of 5.7.3 or later, you might notice that transactions in your ledger are ordered differently.
This change was added to bring transaction filtering in line with how the filters work elsewhere in the system.
If your ledger transactions are filtering in such a way that you do not like, you can open the Filter option (or shortcut CTRL+F) then select the Transactions tab.
All filters for transactions are available there, you can even build a filter and save it so you don't need to configure anything when switching between filter profiles or when you next load the application.
If you do not save a filter profile though, the filter will remember your settings even when you exit the ledger screen or switch between accounts but not if the application is closed.
To use the filter you could, for example, have transactions list by date Oldest to Newest in the following way:
From the Customers or Suppliers screen open the Filter (CTRL+F)
In the Filter select the Transactions tab
On the option Default Transaction Sort
Set this to Transaction Date (Asc)
Click the Clipboard option in the bottom left and select to Save this profile
Now whenever you open the Customers or Suppliers screen, the transactions will filter from the Oldest to the Newest. Regardless of whether you close your application or switch between accounts.
