Enable future period posting

You can enable future period posting on a per-transaction-type basis. Decide which transaction type to enable it on, then follow these steps:

  1. From the toolbar, click System Admin.

  2. Click Setup.

  3. Then select Transaction Types from the list.

  4. Find the transaction type you want to enable forward posting on.

  5. On the right-hand side of the screen, locate the Allow Advanced Postings option.

  6. To enable future period posting, set this to Yes.

This will allow transactions of that type to post into periods forward in time, prior to running period ends.
