When using the Currency Provision Accruals function in Nominal Ledger
Processing you may experience the error message:
'Cannot Proceed: Purchase/Sales Ledger is still posting to this period'
This means that the Ledger you are trying to use this function on is still open and can be posted to. The Ledger for which this error is occurring must be closed prior to you being able to post the Currency Provision.
To close a Ledger so that nothing can be posted to it, select the Ledger in question from the Toolbar:
Select the Processing option
Then select the Period Controls option
Use the Arrows under Closed Before Period option to close Periods
You will need to close up until the Period you wish to run the Currency Provision for
