Error: 'Key not unique' when creating a new account

Try to locate the record in both the customer list and the supplier list in Safe Financials.

If you can't find it, check retired accounts for both customers and suppliers:

  1. Log into Safe Financials and select the relevant company.

  2. Click Purchase/Sales Ledger.

  3. Click Suppliers/Customers.

  4. Click Filter and click the Supplier/Customer tab.

  5. Change the Ignore Retired Accounts option to No.

If this doesn't work you should look into trading partners.

If you can locate the record in trading partners, do the following:

  1. Go to Nominal Ledger.

  2. Click Trading Partners.

  3. Find the **Trading Partner**.

  4. Tag it to be a Customer.
