If you have transactions in a Nominal Matching session, the Apply button will be greyed out until the session is balanced. However, you may experience an issue where the transactions you have in the matching session appear to balance but still the Apply button is greyed out, meaning you cannot complete the Allocation.
β
This is most likely caused by a transaction that you are trying to allocate having a value to three decimal places. For example, your session may appear to be a credit value for 123.45 and debit value for 123.45 but one of the sides is actually written as 123.456 in the database. Because of this, the session would be imbalanced and so the Apply button is greyed out.
β
However, if this issue affects all matching sessions on that company then there is a setting in the Company Details area that is not setup correctly. It is likely there is no Write Off Control account defined:
From the Toolbar, click System Admin, Setup
Click the Company Details option
Select the Nominal tab and then the Other subtab
In the Write Off Control field, enter a Nominal account code.
If the Write Off Control account field is populated and the Matching Issue relates to a specific transaction or session then the best way to resolve this issue is via a data change from support to remove the value on the third decimal place. Therefore please contact us and reference the title of this article and please include details the matching session and the transactions affected.
