You can configure the system so that whenever a new supplier is created or modified, authorisation is required. A pop-up will appear allowing the user to select an authoriser from a list. This prevents unauthorised changes to suppliers or new unauthorised suppliers being added. To turn supplier authorisation on:
Open Financials to the Toolbar.
Click System Admin, Setup.
Click Company Details.
Click the Purchase tab.
Click the Other tab.
Set Supplier Authorisation On Creation and On Modification as required.
Click Apply to save.
To set a User up to be able to Authorise:
Open Financials to the Toolbar.
Click System Admin, User Setup.
Find and select the relevant User.
Click **Company**, then click **Properties**.
Select the POP tab.
Click the Main tab.
Change Supplier Authorisation to Yes.
Click **Apply** to save.
To add the user to the list of users that can be selected when submitting for authorisation:
Open Financials to the Toolbar.
Click System Admin, Setup.
Click Email Recipients /User Groups.
Select NEWSUP.
Click the **Users** tab.
Right-click and select Create Record.
Enter the User details.
Click Apply to save.
