When looking at the Stock Parts quantity within the Stock Control system you might notice a difference between the total there and the total reported on the Timed Stock Valuation (TSV) report.
This will most likely be caused by certain flags on the TSV report being unticked or set to No. The TSV report has options on the Options tab to enable it to look at the stock in more specific areas, these are Include Despatched Vehicle and Include Loaded Vehicle.
Stock Parts quantity will take a look at stock kept on Vehicles as well as in Stores and Bins. However, unless told to the TSV will ignore Vehicle stock and Despatched stock.
If you are experiencing a difference between the reports where you would not expected one, enabling those flags should resolve and explain the discrepancy you are seeing.
However, if after changing the flags on the report and the discrepancy cannot be explained then it might be the case that the Stock Parts quantity is being miscalculated based on the entries in the Stock tab. This will need to be recalculated.
