WAC costs have not changed

If you have noticed that your WAC (Weighted Average Cost) has not changed despite lots of time and many movements on the stock it is worth noting that the WAC does not change if the stock sits below 0.

Although the stock quantity may be negative, the WAC must not be (may be zero but not negative). When processing a stock movement outward, for a WAC part with zero or negative stock, the system will use the last WAC used, so you will see an unchanged WAC regardless of movements should the total stock level stay at 0 or below.

For flour blending production it is also worth noting that only flour parts marked as No on the Changeover/Rework flag (on the Milling subtab) will generate a WAC based on the average cost of the ingredients used. For Changeover and Rework parts the WAC calculation is based on the existing average cost or one of the fallbacks (current or standard) where there is no average to use.
